Custom Walk in Wardrobe

Charnwood Kitchens and Interiors recently completed a unique project for two custom walk in wardrobes for a private client. Our client wanted a modern, yet simple and clean cut design that featured two separate dressing rooms, both with full length mirrors and signature profile LED lighting to show off their clothing collections. To ensure the goal was met, the team at Charnwood Kitchens and Interiors precision engineered each step of the process from start to finish so that all elements ran smoothly.

Working with the client, Charnwood Kitchens and Interiors were able to create a bespoke space that was far beyond the expectations of the brief; the final result being of such high quality that the client was thrilled with the calibre of work. The intricate detailing that went into the finishing touches ensured that each element was tailored to the client's exact specifications and standards, creating an atmosphere of luxury in which both custom walk in wardrobes showcased their own uniqueness.

The Design Process

The initial design consultation began in September 2022, during which time Charnwood Kitchens and Interiors worked closely with the client to determine their exact requirements and understand timeline expectations.

Initially, the plan was to have a single dressing room with a dressing table; however, after further discussion, it was decided that two separate rooms—one for him and one for her— would be more beneficial to both parties. This decision allowed the client to tailor each space specifically to their individual needs while still staying within their budget parameters. The design process was finalised in late October 2022 and the clients accepted our proposal after going out to tender to several other competitors.

Manufacturing & Installation

Once the design had been locked down, Charnwood Kitchens and Interiors moved on to the manufacturing process in the early part of January 2023. Every detail of the dressing rooms were carefully constructed according to the approved design specifications before being fitted and installed in mid-January. The entire process from start to finish took just over three months, with both parties thoroughly satisfied with the end result of this custom project. Alongside the client we chose top quality components from Blum UK and Xylocleaf whose designs complemented the existing interiors of their home perfectly, providing a luxurious finish that is sure to stand the test of time.
