Mr and Mrs M was in desperate need of a new kitchen, as their current one was very dated and the appliances were not working as they should. They were carrying out quite a bit of renovation throughout the house, so they needed to ensure they didn't go too overboard with the kitchen budget.
Mr M is a keen cook and was quite specific in terms of layout and where he wanted certain items being placed liked the bin. The new design needed to optimize space which we were able to achieve using curved units and a double mini style larder in either corner. We had a number of meetings with young couple to ensure the plan suited their needs.
We then moved on to picking colours and appliances which is always the fun part and played around with a few options. The couple were originally set on having a grey kitchen. However, the kitchen was quite light so we were confident "Off Black" by Farrow and Ball would not look too dark. By picked light coloured worktops and flooring, it ensured the kitchen was still light.
In terms of appliances, the couple opted for induction cooking as it was super quick and easy to clean with a large gas hob. Handle wise, they decided on copper with a matching bespoke copper hot water tap which created a wonderful contrast against the dark kitchen. In terms of splash back, they really liked the look of an antique mirror style.
The cabinets are all shaker style with white Quartz worktops – reflecting the light from the kitchen window and giving the room a clean, bright and open feel.
We received this review from the couple upon completion "Just completed our kitchen last week and it's worth a recommendation. The consultation with these guys ended up with us changing our mind on layout, colour, materials and appliances. A truly bespoke end product. Very happy."
